EN. The proposal shows a clear organization of the environments that takes full advantage of the space of the house. The middle band, darker because is far from the light sources, is occupied by the service areas: the two bathrooms and the laundry, while the side bands are designed to the environments of the living area and the night one.
The entrance, in connection with the study, media access to the living area of the house. From a passage you can glimpse the space of livingroom that develops in continuity occupying the entire east wing.
A lowered ceiling (h. 240-250 cm) characterizes the entire central band of serving spaces. In the height difference between the two soffits it will be possible to install spotlights that allow subdued lighting and enveloping for the lingroom. Along the wall system will be possible to get the spaces to accommodate radiators, shelves for books and ornaments, etc.
The wall to the east is totally freed and made walkable in its full extension. In this way, the space expands and environments fully benefit from the light coming through the windows (from the living room and the dining area you can see the light coming from the opening of the kitchen and vice versa).
The kitchen occupies the extreme part of the band to the east. It is in a secluded position, however at the same time is able to communicate with living and the dining room.
Rather than opening a central port (solution in every way you can take without changing the organization of spaces) it has been chosen to place two large side openings. In this way the "dirty" part of the kitchen is hidden behind an opaque and fixed surface and from the living room you can see the tall cabinets (one of which houses the fridge, the other one could accommodate the oven column, if it's recommended). This continuity between the different areas is also underlined by the choice of the flooring. A polished parquet (type doussie, as indicated by the client) characterizes all surfaces of the apartment, except for the services (bathrooms, part of the kitchen and the pantry), which may be paved with (natural or artificial) stony or ceramic tiles. In order to highlight the continuity of the spaces, parquet continues in the kitchen, noting the side and stopping just before bands (for a measure that is dictated both by the space between the island and the fitted wall, both by the opening that gives access to the pantry).
The layout of the openings (that cross the serving area and link the daiy zone with the night one) in relation to the windows allows a good natural lighting and cross ventilation.

ITA. La proposta presenta una chiara organizzazione degli ambienti che sfrutta al meglio lo spazio della casa. La fascia centrale, più buia perché lontana dalle fonti di luce, è occupata dagli spazi di servizio: i due bagni e la lavanderia, mentre le fasce laterali sono destinate agli ambienti della zona giorno e di quella notte.
L'ingresso, in connessione con lo studio, media l'accesso alla zona giorno della casa. Da uno scorcio è possibile intravvedere lo spazio del soggiorno che si sviluppa in continuità occupando tutta la fascia ad est.
Un controsoffitto ribassato (h. 240-250 cm) caratterizza tutta la fascia centrale degli ambienti serventi. Nella differenza di altezza che c'è tra i due intradossi sarà così possibile installare dei faretti che permettano un'illuminazione soffusa ed avvolgente del soggiorno. Lungo la parete attrezzata sarà invece possibile ottenere degli spazi per alloggiare termosifoni, ripiani per libri e soprammobili, etc.
La parete ad est viene totalmente liberata e resa fruibile nella sua completa estensione. In questo modo lo spazio si dilata e gli ambienti godono appieno della luce proveniente dalle finestre (dal soggiorno e dalla zona pranzo è possibile vedere la luce che proviene dall'apertura della cucina e viceversa).
La cucina occupa la parte estrema della fascia posta ad est. Si trova in una posizione appartata che tuttavia al tempo stesso è in grado di dialogare con lo spazio del soggiorno. Piuttosto che aprire una porta centrale (soluzione che in ogni modo è possibile prendere senza cambiare l'organizzazione degli spazi) è stato scelto di posizionare due grandi aperture laterali. In questo modo la parte "sporca" della cucina è nascosta dietro una superficie opaca e fissa e dal soggiorno sono visibili i mobili alti e chiusi da ante (uno dei quali ospita il frigorifero, l'altro invece potrebbe ospitare la colonna forno, se lo si desidera). Questa continuità tra i diversi spazi è rimarcata anche dalla scelta della pavimentazione. Un parquet lucido (tipo doussie, come indicato dal committente) caratterizza tutte le superfici dell'appartamento, a eccezione dei servizi (i bagni, parte della cucina e la dispensa), i quali potrebbero essere pavimentati con lastre di pietra (naturale o artificiale) oppure con delle ceramiche. Per evidenziare così la continuità degli spazi il parquet prosegue anche nello spazio della cucina, rimarcando le fasce laterali ed arrestandosi poco prima (per una misura che è dettata sia dallo spazio che c'è tra l'isola e la parete attrezzata, sia dall'apertura che dà accesso alla dispensa).
La disposizione dei varchi (che attraversano la zona servente e mettono in connessione l'ambito giorno con quello notte) in relazione alle finestre dell'appartamento permette una buona illuminazione naturale e ventilazione.
