Browsing for a new project to develop on the portal Goplllar, this one - Modern apartment in Oslo
APARTMENT - SMALL SIZE, catched my attention.

Elegant images placed as references, a generous time to flow, DWG blue print and a clear briefing made up a good set of elements to do a good job, so I took it.

A project for another hemisphere? This would be a challenge! We may think down here in Brazil that North People like cool colors, clean and essential design elements. From a plausible concept, this would be the master line to follow as main concept.

As the very basic tasks we lifted 3d, placed some elements to test layout. It seemed to work, but it was a false assessment of what was about to come.

Working, again and again, repositioning, changing elements was a frequent occurrence.

I came to think ... “Am I a bad designer?” So I asked for help from the network and things started to improve. Also a colleague entered, she was very critical, for better. Now I had two clients.

During the process there was not much room for excesses, so in some cases we prefered to leave out some element other than risking to be wrong and ruining what was set. Moreover leaving some empty space coudl be interesting later, so client could find some idea to fill in these empty spaces, therefore taking a part on the project process, too.

Colors were not difficult do choose. In the early research grays, dark blue-grays, emerald-greens, salmons, rosies, and beiges tones began to speak. So we had a color scheme to follow. At least something was set.

So, following an essential and judicious design in order to meet the main demands, I also paid attention to the previous use of the space, keeping some of the daily use of space, together with a new configuration of the place.

Well, after all, if we achieve, at least, 60% of the demands, we'll be satisfied.

Let's go to the next one!
