We are family of three people (we have a baby girl), and we are about to move in our new apartment.
The apartment is not big (77,3 sq m) and consists of a kitchen, a living room, a kid’s room (next to the living room), a bedroom, an entrance hall, bathroom, two small balconies and a small storage. The ceiling height is 2.6 m.
It is in a brand new building and we are open to all ideas but prefer not to break any walls or constructing new ones. Still, if it counts for a big improvement, some walls can be broken – they are shown on the plan in thin lines. Our goal is to finish renovations quickly within 3-4 months. We have a limited budget for decoration and repairs, and will buy materials and furniture in stores like Leroy Merlin and IKEA.
We like a traditional style in design, maybe with a blend of a modern style. In general, we are looking for something comfortable, light-toned, elegant, uncluttered and well organized. We’d also like to avoid dust collecting pieces of furniture.
Our imaginary feels-good room looks a lot like Marriott hotels guest room. We understand it’s a tough task and are genuinely open to and appreciative of any ideas.
These are some details that are important to us.
Kitchen – two areas: a kitchen and a dining room with a sofa.
Entrance hall – as many storage places as possible. Bookshelves (although they can be placed elsewhere).
Kid’s room – two areas: a sleeping area and a play area. Room should not be too girly, we plan on having a second baby soon.
Bedroom – sleeping area with bedside tables and an office/desk area.
Living room – we would like to have a big sofa as we have friends and relatives who may stay at our place once in while. No fireplace.
Storage – well organized.
Bathroom – bathtub, light ceramic tiles.
Please feel free to contact us if you need more details. Good luck!
