Description

Good evening Sir, I uploaded my renders in the floorplan section, because the system kept preventing me from uploading these renders from the render section.
Then you will find the renders in the Floorplan section
Since the premises were intended for a married couple, among which it is assumed that a certain intimacy already exists, the question of the separation of functions became quite delicate.

Also because the same briefing required that the functions not be separated, but that they somehow interpenetrate one with the other, leaving the possibility that even the bathroom has blurred boundaries with the adjoining rooms.

There must have been boundaries, but to what extent should they close one environment to open another, or to what extent could they open up and let the functions of one or the other environment filter?

This question accompanied the study and positioning of each element on the plan, throughout the design process.
If, for example, a wall in laminated wood strips mitigated the separation between the living area and the sleeping area, a masonry partition placed between the kitchen and the bed restored the due privacy of the act of resting.

Another delicate issue was represented by the three windows arranged along the western front. The ideal was that the bedroom should not lose the privilege of the three sources of light, but how would it have been possible then to give light to the bathroom if the bathroom itself played the role of the most important space in the house?

To solve this problem, I treated the bathroom as a real extension of the bedroom, leaving the space dedicated to the toilet and bidet as the only blind area.

Then there is another issue that has to do with flows and with the division of functions.
I wondered how the whirlpool tub and bathroom could have been reconciled, two environments so similar, but separated from the living area.

To do this, I prepared a preferential contact corridor between these two environments, using the same landing level as the hot tub, using this level as a communication corridor between the wet parts of the house.

If the south wall is the one intended to accommodate the flows between the tub and the bathroom, the north wall is the one that collects the service rooms: the kitchen, the bar area, the wardrobes and then a bookcase towards the back of the house.

Another fundamental aspect is the light. An attempt has been made to create sources of always indirect light, which is countered by the weaving of the materials which are thus enhanced by this light.

With regard to materials, the concept of materiality and organicity was pursued, choosing surfaces that had a degree of roughness to the touch, reminiscent of contact with natural surfaces.
