Description

The proposed project explores the continuity of space between indoor and outdoor as well as maintainig a differet approach between the two housing units. Andrea's house is on a modern concept having 2 main changes proposed. The main entrance on the basemnet level with the garage allows the entry to be quick through the elevator directly from the garage to pantry and kitchen, making the groceries easier to handle. Given the fact that the basement level is a third of the house, in order to avoid small bedrooms by placing the yoga room in the attic we proposed a light/ english yard in the back , having to dig a little in the back of the house to allow the entrance of light. Thus will create a yard on the basement level that is more intimate and which can be used as a prolongation of the yoga studio which can be both indoor and outdoor. At Annalisa's house we had great attention to the balconies in order to be restrained for the cat thus creating some modern accents on the facade. Given that the roof on this side of the house is more generous and also the space itself of this part of the villa is bigger, we chose to keep the roof as it is in order to manage the costs better. The attic floor is itself a master bedroom with master bathroom , a open space with closing options yet modern and cozy. This part of the villa has 2 entrances. One from the basement level and another one which is partially hidden to the ground floor. The staircase can be closed by a fence but it is hidden in the architectural design of the house making it less visible for intruders. The two houses have a modern design with modern led accents and floating stairs but maintain a different approach in style and personality.
