Il nuovo centro benessere sarà ospitato all'interno di un palazzo storico nel cuore di Gorizia.
L'edificio, di notevole interesse architettonico, è progettato secondo i criteri strutturali dell'epoca ed è ispirato a regole formali e compositive che non possono e non devono essere stravolte, anche se ciò comporta inevitabilmente una minore flessibilità distributiva; tuttavia, trattandosi di un'attività aperta al pubblico, è necessario soddisfare i requisiti richiesti dalla normativa vigente, in particolare quella finalizzata alla tutela delle persone con ridotta capacità motoria.
Tale aspetto, impossibile da affrontare compiutamente in questa sede a causa del carattere locale dei regolamenti, dovrà essere oggetto di un approfondimento successivo.
La struttura offre molteplici possibilità organizzative, ciascuna delle quali implica aspetti positivi e negativi, ma soprattutto diversi gradi di difficoltà nella realizzazione, non facili da valutare e quantificare in assenza delle necessarie informazioni tecniche.
L'analisi delle potenzialità permette di offrire un ventaglio di possibili soluzioni:
- soluzione di base, che con alcune variazioni, rispecchia sostanzialmente quella suggerita dal cliente;
- variante A, che prevede di valorizzare al massimo la sala principale affrescata, liberandola da elementi divisori e collocandovi la reception;
- variante B, in cui l'ambulatorio è completamente autonomo rispetto al centro benessere, pur utilizzando la stessa reception.
Per quanto riguarda le scelte formali, il criterio di base che sottende l'intervento è il massimo rispetto per il "genius loci", con opere edilizie minime e comunque sempre reversibili: alle pareti una boiserie in legno laccato, che riprende le specchiature delle porte e, negli ambienti più piccoli, un controsoffitto ribassato, che ne ristabilisce le corrette proporzioni.
Pochi arredi di qualità affiancano le forniture tecniche, per la definizione delle quali è indispensabile la concertazione con gli operatori specializzati che ne cureranno l'utilizzo.

The new welness center will be housed in an historic building in the heart of Gorizia.
The building, of great architectural interest, is designed according to the structural criteria of the time and is inspired by the formal and compositional rules that can not and must not be distorted, even though this inevitably means a less flexible distribution.
However, since it is an activity open to the public, it must meet the requirements of current legislation, particularly that aimed the protection of persons with reduced mobility.
This aspect, impossible to deal with completely here, because of the local nature of the regulations, must be the subject of the further investigation.
The structure offers many organizational possibilities, each of which have positive and negative aspects, but specially different degrees of difficulty in the implementation, not easy to assess and quantify in the absence of the necessary technical informations.
The analisis of the potentiality allows it to offer a range of possible solutions:
- base solution, which, with some variations, reflects substantially the one suggested by the customer;
- variant A, which plans to make the most of the main room decorated with frescoes, freeing it from dividing elements and by placing the recepion;
- variant B, where the medical offices are completely indipendent of the wellness center, despite using the same reception.
Regarding the formal choices, the fundamental criterion underlying the intervention is the highest respect for the"genius loci", with minimum and always reversible building works: at the wall, a laquered wood wainscoting inspired by the mirrors of the doors and, in smaller rooms, a lowered ceiling that restores the correct proportions.
Few, good quality furnishings alongside technical supplies, for the definition of which is necessitated consultation with specialized operators involved in their use.
