This project involves the interior design of a new residence in Trento, Italy, in a Nordic/Scandinavian influence. Woods in a natural finish and light colors are the main characteristics of this design. The living space is an open area that encompasses the living room, dining room and kitchen with views to the exterior. The sliding doors fill this area with natural light which makes it an inviting place during the day while the electric fireplace provides a sense of comfort during the night.
The kitchen takes one wall of the room with an island in the center. The island provides two eating places in addition to the six places of the dining table. In the living section, the electric fireplace takes on section of the wall and is flanked by an entertainment center which allows for additional storage in the room.
The nursery is decorated in gender-neutral tones while still maintaining the warm and comfortable feeling that should be in a baby’s room. The master bedroom and the walk-in-closet/office continue with the light and cozy palette of the rest of the house. Both restrooms present the same paint colors that present in the main rooms, but with a pop of color in the shower tiles. The tiles bring a fun but at the same time relaxing mix into this Scandinavian inspired design.
