Having in mind all your desires and needs I designed a functional and spacious place. The hallway which was really narrow and monotonous will be converted into a intriquing place but not only aesthetically appealing but also a functional one. On the left side are hanged frames with images, as you mentioned that you are collecting them from your travellings.On the right side the space is used as hidden storage units, which are withh seemless doors so it is not going to bother the eye. The living area is combined on the same place with kitchen and dining room, to integrate them and improve the ease of use. To enjoy the beautiful view from the window i located a small lounge for relaxation, for coffee,reading and etc.The existing fireplace is kept to supplement to the home cosiness . The furniture used are all italian minimal style which can be perfectly combined with chinese style as you wanted. The laundry is hidden in a perfect for it place,where it does not occupy any space while being highly functional. For the flooring i suggested to two options according to the budget of the client but for sure i think the colour palette should be natural and very soft,as beige to have a spacious appearance.
