Description

The design, proposes three apartments arranged on three floors (semi-basement, floor 1 and floor 2). The semi-basement and floor 1 are the same, arranging the kitchen and lounge along the corner with the best natural illumination. The main bedroom contains a walk-in closet, ensuite bathroom and an anteroom with a private lounge, in the first floor, this anteroom can become a third, smaller bedroom if needed. All the living areas have natural illumination and ventilation taking advantage of the large existing windows. All bathroom and kitchen services are run down the same wall, allowing for the installation of service ducts that allow for mechanical ventilation in all bathrooms.
A new stairwell is added into the existing shaft, giving access to the communal roof terrace at the top, storage space, common laundry room and bathroom. The communal roof terrace has a barbecue area, sitting, potted plants, a pergola and sliding floor to ceiling windows for parties. The third apartment is nestled in 50m2 and enjoys a private roof terrace and barbecue area. The lounge and kitchen area are completely open and have floor to ceiling windows.
The new floor takes advantage of the existing structure making the construction much more efficient in cost and time.
