The style of house is very complicated and specific for contemporary design. It has many "old" details but also kitchen has a little bit of mothern design and lines and also a little bit of transition style.I decide after several combination to repeat niche from the other side of a room and to put horizontal division of a space, to make some kind of monolit structure and main accent in the room. I prefer if colors of the whole room can be in some coffy-brown color (except walls of new niche and the old niche. I would left it to be white. ) Even if you leave the room white , I recomend to make wall in new niche coffy-brown. You have here some variants but I like the most the last one, biggest.
