The images are of sofas we currently have and of 2 things I kinda liked at Ikea. To get an idea of the new space look at the plans and the video.
We are moving into a new apartment. The living area is very large and needs to be divided somehow. It needs to have an area the kids can play in, a dining area, a work desk, and living room TV area.
We have some furniture (sofas), but are open to replacing buying new things. The tv cabinet, and dining room set will definitely be new.
The apartment does not have a lot of closets so we need storage units in this area too.

I added images of 3 sofas we have, 2 cabinets, and a painting I like.
I tried a few layouts that I attached. The width seems to be too much for the sofa to be on the wall opposite the TV on the other wall. I added some ideas I had. I hope you have better ones 🙂
Since the kitchen is small, we are thinking of adding an island or something outside the opening from the kitchen to the living room.
I am looking for:
Layout ideas
Color ideas for painting the walls
Furnishing ideas (please only from US stores, ideally Ikea or amazon.)
My wife likes colorful happy themes, so a touch of color like orange would be good.
