Description

This project has two objective - first is to maximize the use of space, second is to bring sustainability in the design.
Use of space - to maximize the use of space, new opening location is necessary for Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3. The rooms are not too big. So we need to place the doors in between bed and sliding door wardrobe. With this, the rooms become more spacey and have the right concept of circulation.
Sustainability - the design itself must not only designed for present time. So the design is little bit mature. Hopefully, the design will still be OK after 10 years. Bedroom 3 is still little bit playful with the box cabinet.
In general, the design only change the wall color and put new furniture from IKEA with the matching design and color. But for bedroom 1, I propose to be little bit different with vertical element as background and below the window. It can be constructed using wood and painted with the darker color. But this is optional, owner can always paint with darker color if budget is the limitation.
Another thing to mention is the ceiling, I propose little bit change to give modern feeling. Between wall and ceiling I design up ceiling with LED strip light as indirect lighting. Again, this design is optional, owner can use the existing ceiling design but new location of downlights is encouraged.
Last, for privacy, I propose doors to be installed for Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3. Also, I proposed to change the existing shades/blinds with roman shades. It's more homey and soft.
