Hello, dear client, it was great pleasure working on this project.
I tried to provide You with the maximum open-space feeling of living area in the ground floor where You could insert all those modern interior elements as uploaded in the reference files. Since these interventions consider construction works on existing building, I suggest consultation with the qualified person who can visit the site and inspect the existing load bearing elements.
First of all, I would like to explain that I've kept the existing east staircase position because I think that's the best use of all the space inside of this "put out cube" according to its plan and height dimensions and also due to the windows layout of the cube. In order to convert the staircases in a true modern design element, I would demolish existing concrete stairs and all the existing walls inside of the "cube" and set a new more "transparent" stairs with a great modern indoor garden bellow. To connect this space with the living room, I suggest transparent built-in shelves, but You can also leave this space empty if You like. Dinning room takes the main central position in ground floor and kitchen gets its special link to outdoor space.
In the 1st floor plan I tried to provide master bedroom with the best position facing the courtyard. Also I tried to make the best use of the existing layout and not to make much construction work.
