The project mantain the main characteristics of the layout that you proposed. We make some little changes: in the kitchen we think that would be better enlarge the exsistent window to improve the brightness of the room, in the hallway we would enlarge the gap between entry and the living room to delete the tunnel sensation, in the bedroom for elderly person we have enlarge the access of the room because, for the italian law for people with disabilities and especially cause the room is for a person with limited mobility it must be at least 135cm, in any case the bathroom is easily accessible also with a less area and in the entry could stay two closets (60x60cm).
The living room is the heart of the house thanks by the kitchen with an isola where prepare and cook, the dining table in the fulcrum of the room and the sofa in the other corner; the lay permit to interact in the cooking time between sitting room, dining room and kitchen.
In the second floor we only change the staircase to go to the mezzanine making it more passable, removing one step cause the relation between riser and tread has to be in a determinated range.
We use a cementitius resin floor to create a thread in all the rooms of your house; playing with the wall surfaces giving different coverings for the different situations: a wall paper for the more importants room as the living room and the bedroom, a cementitius resin wall covering for the bathrooms changing the colors in function with the size of the bathroom (light for small bathrooms and the same colour of the floor for the main bathroom), a white enamel for the most walls opposed, in the master bedroom, by an important, strong material as steel lead grey for the mezzanine and the staircase.
All the windows and inner doors are simple and white to give more brightness at all the house.
