Our proposal for this project was to set the house as the starting point to the garden and its surroundings, creating a sort of stream among the front and the back, as the patio stands throughout the ground floor to connect both ends.
The social area is an open, luminous space that converges on a facility area right in the middle of the ground floor, where the WC, the pantry, a cupboard and the stairs are placed in a smart way.
Even more, the living room is pushed a bit backwards so that it generates a more intimate space, in which the front yard stands as a main character.
Passing through the backyard, the gym is set to be an open-plan, integrated space allowing a WC and a small kitchen, so that it can be used for outdoor events as well.
On the other hand, the second floor revolves around a facilities strip where the laundry and the bathrooms are placed, granting natural light and cross ventilation for all spaces.
Bedrooms are located in order to get views from the gardens, and a studio is set in front as an everyday space that can be closed and make up a third bedroom if needed.
All of them are packed with terraces, with the intention to provide a private connection to the outdoors and generate an expansion for every room.
High ceilings and slender windows allow lighting to pierce through as if it was a stage, giving this house a smooth luminosity and generating interesting views on the inside, as well as on the outside.
