I give 2 alternative for ground floor plan. Option 1 is trying to get as much space in the kitchen and dining area but sacrifice little bit of kitchen mobility because of the position of refrigerator. Option 2 is optimize kitchen layout but sacrifice comfort in the dining area.
For basement , I'm trying to create a minibar across the fireplace to provide with the intended purpose for gathering.
For overall concept, I use HPL with wood texture for vertical element and HPL with stone textured for horizontal element.
