Existing condition
In the drawing, we see an overview of the existing
situation, with the dimensions entered as shown and
submitted in the competition task.
Newly designed solution
The newly designed solution shows new openings in
the walls, more precisely the new position of the
door.
The opening in the wall of the living room is
harmonized with the opening in the kitchen wall, so
that when we are in one of the mentioned rooms, we
can have a continuous view that is not disturbed by
the dimensions of the opening in the wall.
Access to the kitchen from the bedroom hallway is
not implied in the newly designed solution, and it is
walled up.
Also, an opening was made in the wall of the living
room towards the hallway marked with the number 4,
in order to make the living room bigger and more
spacious, and in order to lose the hallway in the literal
sense of the word.
In that way, a circular connection of movement
between the kitchen hallway and the living room is
enabled.
Third drawing shows the arrangement of furniture
within the given rooms, living room and kitchen.
When arranging the interior of this space, we tried to
reduce the furniture to what is really necessary and
not to additionally burden the space with large sets
and cabinets.
By tearing down the non-bearing walls and making
openings in them, we got a spacious space that now
only needed to be completed with pieces of furniture
that will additionally make the space pleasant, not
too intrusive and yet attractive and tucked away for
life.
The floor covering is in the form of parquet inside the
given rooms for solving the interior.
Lighting position
In the hallway marked with number 1,with yelow
colour there are two pendants with three bulbs
inside to illuminate that part of the space, the
pendants fit and a carefully selected model will
complement the style of the space and be in the
same tone and design with the furniture.
In the corridor marked with number 4 there is
one pendant identical to those in the corridor
under number 1.
The lighting in the living room is solved by
means of one chandelier above the seating
area, and one hanger near the reading area,
where there are also bookshelves.
The lighting in the kitchen was solved with the
help of three pendants with one light bulb inside
them in the part where the kitchen elements are,
and with the help of two pendants above the
dining table.
