Description

Dear Client,

Thank you for the opportunity to work on your project.

I'm going to briefly explain my proposal.

The aim was to create a continuous space that consists of the lounge area, dining, and kitchen, including the entrance and corridor spaces.
In the current plan that you have the entrance is positioned in the center of the area that we are designing and it both visually and functional divides the space into two. This is the reason that the entrance is now repositioned into a less central position as you said a change like that is possible and that you have a permit to do it.
As the wall between the entrance and lounge is thicker I assumed it's a bearing wall and therefore I've left part of it and a beam on top and imagined this eventually arched if that is an aesthetic you would like to pursue. The rest of the walls that are probably thin plasterboard walls are removed to achieve a large open space.

Starting with the entrance, in the new position as explained, it's only visually divided from the lounge with a glass panel that can eventually contain some sort of storage for shoes and coats if preferred.

The lounge is furnished with a large L-shaped sofa and lounge chair accompanied by a coffee table and low cabinet with tv towards the corridor. A propulsive divider in the form of vertical paneling is placed between the lounge and corridor to visually frame the space but not close it completely by maintaining visual contact between the two areas.

The dining space is placed in the arched space in a central position and is completely flexible for use. On the corridor side, two bookshelves are places to fit into the space between the existing column in the wall.

The kitchen is now open towards the dining and stretches itself into the lounge.
The shorter side contains a sink and washing machine with a workbench on top and extends into a peninsula with two or three seats. The other side of the kitchen starts with a cooking hob and then is followed by high built-in elements containing a built-in oven and microwave, fridge, and pantry. This continuous line of the kitchen later on (in the part that is in the dining area towards the lounge) becomes a workstation with desk and storage units above.

I hope I've managed to meet your needs and expectation with this proposal, and if you have any further questions regarding the project or would like to further discuss some elements of it (built-in furniture or similar), feel free to contact me.

Kind regards
