Description

To achieve a sense of aesthetic harmony, some qualities of the existing, non removable pieces of furniture have been considered in the making of a new collage. For example, the orange couch helped to inform the selection of secondary colours which match orange or are complimentary to orange, in this case, brown and red. The white-and-black cabinet on the farthest wall in the living room inspired the selection of some white (as can be seen on the new couch) and some black (as can be seen on the paintings and TV feature-wall). Care has been taken to avoid addition of glass and sharp furniture additions, instead a soft brown carpent has been proposed to be laid underneath the main sitting area. Niches on the TV feature wall are receive new shelving (ideally do-it-yourself shevles which are small enough to fit in the niches, but which take into account an increasing library of books). This new interior makeover hopes to inspire a creative life, which is warm, homely, nurturing and not hectic.
