Description

The project “Three Worlds” directly follows on Austrian philosopher Karl Popper’s theory according to which there are three different worlds: the world of physical entities, the world of feelings and the world of constant elements that is a mediator of the first two. Being the focus of this project the traveller-artisan we have decided to allegorically lead each of the room of the apartment back to those three worlds to make the traveller’s stay in the house more pleasant and interesting. The first room is the room of physical elements and contains different objects made of different materials, with whimsical and multi-coloured design. The second room is the room of feelings is a blank canvas, mostly made of neutral colours, it contains few inspiring elements like paintings (blue rain, perfect pecks), carpets and linen (mission hills, side chairs). Finally, the third room is the room of constant elements, it mediates the first two and so it is made of contrasts: light colours and dark, sound objects and spindly. All the rooms include a round glass that reflect the nature of each room: in the first room there is a glass made of two different materials, metal and marble (vaughn black); in the second room there is a simple and minimal glass (empire mirror); in the third room there is a glass made of concentric circles with a metal gist (orson mirror). The apartment contains both expensive and economic design objects so to result in a charming and pleasant combination without exceed the budget.
