Hello everyone!
I intend to renovate an apartment located at the 8th floor of a building facing the French Riviera, built in 60s/70s.
We aim to obtain:
1 master bedroom;
1 master bathroom, with entrance from the master bedroom, with a window, wc, bidet, large sink (with a large stand around it), a shower (no bathtub);
1 guest bedroom with a double bed or a sofa bed and a closet;
1 bathroom for guests, right outside of the guest bedroom, with wc, bidet, sink and shower;
1 small study;
1 laundry that should contain the washing machine, 1 dryer, a large sink for hand washing, 1 shoe rack as large as possible, a closet to storage brooms, buckles, drying rack, ladder, ironing board; the laundry should have enough space to open the drying rack;
1 optional guest bathroom with only a wc and a sink;
1 kitchen with:
– microwave oven and traditional oven;
– large fridge with freezer;
– dining table with 4 chairs (in case the kitchen is designed in a separate space);
– induction cooking hub;
– small wine cellar for wine bottles;
– a space for a pantry.
On the balcony: I would like to have a small sink.
The air conditioning system should be in the false ceiling with one air conditioner in each room
It’s absolutely necessary for me to have as many closets as possible, by taking advantage of all possible space, since we don’t have a cellar/storage room.
The furniture to be used in the project are the following: (see attached photos Picture Reference)
– Double bed (160w x 200d) plus 2 nightstands (60h x 40w x 30d)
– wardrobe with 3 sliding doors (240h x 240w x 67d)
– chest of drawers (96h x 160w x 50d)
– library (230h x 91w x 45d)
– coffee table (100w x 100d)
– sofa (200w x 95d)
I’d like to keep a Provencal style in the furniture and design, with light colors and natural finishing.
The electric system of the apartment has just been regularized (you can find attached the plan where all electric plugs are displayed). If possible, I would like to maintain the current distribution of the electric plugs.
Please note: that the current drains are in the cavity in the kitchen (0,49 m x 1,26 m) and in the bathroom (near the bathtub). The pavement above is not very thick, so you should try to stay as close as possible to the current drains.
In the small storage room in front of the kitchen there is an old drain for the wc (not installed in the actual configuration).
Where necessary, we can demolish some parts for the renovation.
Thank you!
I’d be happy to answer any of your further questions.
