Description

The following have been designed / proposed / suggested.
1) The Utility Room, which is accessed from the side entrance, has a dog washing area (on a 10cm elevation), a simple coat hanger, an adequately sized Shoe Rack / Store with one person seating, and a laundry space - all appropriately sized and configured, with respect to the available space in the room.
2) Alongside, a kitchen area, with the required kitchen table with two ovens, and an American style refrigerator, are placed, in a linear orientation, facilitating a door and access way (if required) in the kitchen, which shall allow direct access to and from the garden.
3) Alongside, a bar has been provided, with required storage. Its L shaped configuration not only defines a small bar space, but also (with the L shaped wall proposed behind it) aptly conceals the kitchen sink area. If further concealment is required, the sliding doors can be shut.
4) On the other side, the Dining, Movie Watching, and Gaming / Miscellaneous areas are designed as a continuous, uninterrupted stretch. Although new kinds of furnishing are shown here, the existing furniture can also be used in this stretch. If required, a sliding door partition can be provided between the Movie Watching area and the Gaming / Miscellaneous area; it can facilitate sound proofing, privacy and also allow the Gaming / Miscellaneous area to accommodate the existing furniture that goes unused in the other areas; although doing so will compromise the continuous, uninterrupted character of this stretch.
5) The garage has been given a new internal door, to seamlessly connect it with the house. However, the existing external door here, has not been closed, anticipating a possible situation (like a home office, a teenagers' room etc.) where this room can be used in semi-isolation form the house. The room may also be used as a children's room, at a later stage.
