Dear Client
Thank you for the opportunity to work on this project. I hope I've managed to meet your needs and expectations.
In my posters you'll find a floorplan, together with some explanations of the creative process and some technical drawings and solutions.
The main idea was to create a functional and elegant space with not too many changes from the original design so it will be easier to refurnish. Because it's a tiny apartment some compromises were unavoidable, but still we managed to find a place for all of the functions. The entrance and the living area could be two separate rooms, but by not dividing them with a door the cabinet from the hallway could continue in the elements of the kitchen and in that way allow more room for storage, a broader view and it will make the space look bigger.
The bedroom is small but functional. It can fit a storage unit (170x60cm) and a bed (160x210cm) that can be approached from 3 sides.
To avoid complications the bathroom is keeping its original location. Its divided in 3 zones. The sink is placed right at the entrance in a small nook. On the opposite wall is the toilet and the bidet. The shower (90x85cm) it's in its own nook .
There is a possibility to allow natural light in the bathroom by placing high windows in the shower, but then the cabinets in the bedroom will lose some of their height.
The laundry it's in a separate room next to the bathroom. To save space the door could be made by plywood or MDF. From the hallway it will be nice if it's a door with a mirror, both for practicality and the aesthetics.
In regards to the aspect of construction there were some bigger changes. In this design the decision is to demolish all of the non-bearing partition walls and build new ones. The reason for this is so we can fit all of the elements and have enough space to approach them.
I hope I've managed to explain everything needed for you to understand the project. If you decide to go in this direction with your renovation and have questions don't hesitate to send them my way.
