In my project your garage will consist of three
functional areas: a relax area, a dining area and a remaining space dedicated
to entertain guests. The relax area is created by two sofas, placed in a
right-angle position allowing to watch TV on the opposite wall, a wooden and
possibly pre-owned coffee table (that can be found in any carpenter's shop), and
an IKEA floor lamp. In this area you can relax and chat with friends. The dining area consists of an enlargeable table, made
of row wooden boards, three suspended lamps, three bar stools and an old-fashioned minibar. This area also includes three
shelves that you can use as storage space. The last area is next to the
entrance and contains the focal point of the architectural composition, a round
soft carpet, furnished with poufs or pillows, on which you can lay or simply
sit. A large open space is
created by the side disposition of the functional areas and allows you to
easily move in the room, to entertain guests or even to play table football.
Additionally, an entire wall is dedicated to the TV and TV cabinets, that will
contain wires, satellite boxes, DVDs and remote controls. In this space you can
enjoy your free time by internet browsing, gaming and watching movies. The room is vintage
styled, in particular the minibar, the bar
stools, the posters and writing in neon lights confer a cool 70s atmosphere.
The vintage style is also suggested by the leather bean bag harmchair and the
fun wallpaper, while the row wooden table and shelves confer a
more warm atmosphere, in accordance to the
existing tiled floor.
