We tried to reinterpret the interior of the building following the formal, aesthetic and functional lines so that to convey a message of modernity and rational space . Currently the building is built in two levels (ground floor and first floor) interconnected to each other by a narrow spiral staircase, not very functional and that with a vestibule and two median walls fragments the living room and the kitchen in poorly interconnected spaces on the ground floor, while on the first floor it restricts the corridor to the bedrooms and the bathroom . We have therefore decided to reshape the internal staircase and replacing it with a rectangular-shaped , wider and a more functional one, which also absolves the function of a piece of furniture, holding a recessed TV, shelves and cupboards . The ground floor has been shaped as an open space .
To do this it is necessary to remove the walls of the vestibule ( replacing it with tempered glass ) and one o the walls that actually separates the living room from the kitchen. The material and the finishes of the living room have been coordinated with the aim of increasing the sense of spatial unity. For this reason the kintchen elements, have been thought as cupboards with book opening doors. To increase the sense of spatial unity similar materials have been coordinated and finishes of the living area and the kitchen area, therefore the elements of the kitchen itself were conceived as elements closet with doors that open like a book , which once opened giving access to all floors working , cooking and washing dishes . The floors are in dark gray matte varnished Oak wood, the staircase is in brushed silk oil finish Ash wood, the railings are in tempred glass , the cupboards of the living room and of the kitchen are made of brushed matte finish Sucupira Wood, the shelves are made of glass and white lacquered wood. The walls are painted light-gray. On the first floor we have decided to maintain the spatial distribution of the existing rooms . The bedrooms have been organized in two different ways.
The smallest according to a more playful design, featuring lacquered wood with bright colors.
The second one according to a more elegant design, featuring pastel-colored gray and brown lacquered wood. The spaces are lit by recessed lamps. The bathroom has maintained the current toilet position. The bath-tub has been replaced with a shower and we have placed a bidet.
