About the House Design-
The main concept that guidelines the desing of the whole house was to try to integrate as much as possible the structural elements of the house “ pilars” into the design and layout while trying to achieve, at the same time, an open and light space. To do this several elements ( custom made ou pre-built) were used to design the space. On the first floor an wooden box ( where the wc is contained ) helps defining the entrance space and the living room. At the same time, the winnery creates the boundry between the first and second floor.
On the second floor, the space layout was designed in order to try to achieve the most of the spaces. Three rooms were created, each with his own closet. Two bathrooms were also designed as required - one smaller that serves the kids and visitors room- and the other ( bigger ) that serves the master bedroom.
The furniture used on both floors was specificaly selected in order to achieve a light and open space, mixing lowcost furniture like IKEA and author design pieces.
On the outside, the garden was kept to the minimum in order to enhance the the facade of the house. The only suggested ellements were two wooden structures to home the “outdoor garage” and the barbecue. Besides the existing trees, another treeline is also pruposed to create a “corridor” that connects the garage space and the house entrance.
