Lo scopo del progetto è ottenere uno spazio aperto, funzionale e moderno ma riducendo al minimo gli interventi sulle strutture esistenti, sia per evitare danneggiamenti che spese eccessive.
Per questa ragione si propone di collegare l'attuale limonaia al resto della casa abbattendo la parte inferiore della finestra interna e facendola diventare un varco, approfittando del fatto che è già presente un'architrave e quindi non si rendono necessari interventi strutturali (come quelli necessari per aprire una nuova su una parete portante).
L'attuale limonaia viene adibita a cucina, in diretto contatto con la sala da pranzo collocata nell'attuale sala. L'attuale bagno viene rimodellato ed è dotato di un antibagno (con lavabo e lavatrice) separato da doccia e vaso, come richiesto dalle normative. La porta scorrevole viene collocata in corrispondenza del setto murario dell'ingresso perché risulti visibile il meno possibile. Il soggiorno e l'ingresso formano uno spazio unico e luminoso che può essere però diviso chiudendo la struttura in metallo e vetro.
Per garantire la luminosità degli ambienti si propongono colori chiari non solo per gli arredi ma anche per le finiture. È tuttavia consigliata l'introduzione anche di alcuni elementi di arredo scuri e/o dall'aspetto più industrial per bilanciare e contrastare, evitando così un'atmosfera fredda e monotona. Per aumentare questo contrasto possono anche essere lasciate al grezzo alcune pareti (come proposto ad esempio nel render della cucina), dipendendo dal gusto della committenza. Per gli arredi si propongono elementi dal design pulito ed elegante, moderno ma con un tocco vintage in armonia con l'atmosfera della casa. Il mobile porta tv (parzialmente visibile nel render), gli scaffali da parete in cucina (visibili nel render) e i mobili guardaroba indicati in ingresso possono essere realizzati su misura e dettagliati secondo le esigenze della committenza.
Per i pavimenti si propone una finitura rovere sbiancato (può essere parquet, laminato effetto legno o gres effetto legno) nello spazio giorno mentre per la cucina si propone una piastrella dal sapore vintage (ad esempio le cementine Evo o le cementine 20 di Fioranese Ceramica).

The purpose of this project is to obtain an open, functional and modern space, without big interventions on existing structures in order to avoid both damages and overspending.
For this reason I propose to connect the current "limonaia" to the rest of the house by breaking down the lower part of the inner window and converting it into a gap, taking advantage of the fact that there is already a lintel and therefore structural interventions aren't necessary.
The current "limonaia" is converted into a kitchen, in continuity with the dining room located in the current room. The existing bathroom is remodeled and is equipped with a dressing room (with sink and washing machine), separate shower room and potted, as required by regulations. The sliding door is placed in correspondence of the septum inlet wall because it is visible as little as possible. The living room and the entrance form a unique and bright space that can be divided, however, closing the structure of metal and glass.
To ensure the brightness of the environments are proposed light colors not only for the furniture but also for the finishing. However, it is also recommended the introduction of some elements of dark furniture and / or more industrial looking for balance and contrast, thus avoiding a cold atmosphere and monotonous. To increase the contrast can also be left some unfinished walls (as proposed for example in the render kitchen), depending on the client's taste. For the furniture elements are proposed by clean and elegant design, modern but with a vintage feel in harmony with the atmosphere of the house. The TV cabinet (parzzialmente visible in render), the wall shelves in the kitchen (visible in render) and the furniture wardrobe indicated input can be made and detailed according to the needs of the client.
For floors it proposes a bleached oak finish (can be parquet, laminate wood or tile wood-effect) in the living area while the kitchen offers a tile vintage flavor (such as the cement tiles cement tiles Ages o 20 Fioranese Ceramica) .
