Description

The main concept on the space planning of the house is to locate the living spaces along the perimeter of the plan so as to maximize daylight & natural ventilation and view of the park on the west. Introducing daylight and natural ventilation makes it more energy efficient since you don't have to use lighting fixtures and air conditioning units all the time. Also, with such spatial configuration, there becomes a seamless connection between the interior and exterior environment, thus, creating a more livable atmosphere within.

Likewise, the utility spaces were configured at the core. This is so arranged so that it serves the living spaces at equal distances. Also, these ones require lesser priority in terms of natural ventilation than the other spaces. Mechanical ventilation can alternatively be incorporated in the bathrooms.

Furthermore, the structural integrity of the current plan was not compromised in this proposed plan. The current position of the columns was adapted accordingly so that no necessary structural recalculation and analysis should be done anymore.
