Last year we started to renovate our apartment, by creating a new entrance and kitchen. We have chosen a style that embraces both the traditional and the modern.
Now we should design our living room decide how to distribute the space in the best way possible. We’re a family of 5 and we would like to have large sofa, preferably L shaped, suitable for both having guest and having some family screen time. We don’t know where to put the sofa though.
From our current furniture, we want to keep the antique wooden closet that is at the moment next to the large square window and it we must also keep the piano. (We don’t mind it’s current position, but we’re also open to other ideas).
Our current table is 1x3m and it’s extremely comfortable when we’re entertaining. We could keep it, or replace it with another table that can comfortably seat 10/12 people. We don’t like our current chairs. In the centre of our living room there’s a Tyrolese heater made of majolica ceramics, to which we would like to add the typical wooden bench. We would also like a large library. In general we want a living room that is fully in Dolomiti Ampezzane style, not quite as modern as the style we have used in the kitchen.
We’re seeking ideas on how to design our bathrooms too. You can see three bedrooms on the floor plan, while at the moment there’s only one bathroom in the middle of the house, from which we would like to make 2 bathrooms; one that opens in the corridor and another one that opens in the main bedroom, 3 bathrooms in total co.
All bathrooms should have a minimal mountain house style, with all the modern functions.
Finally, we need to redesign the bedrooms of our 2 children; Our son’s bedroom (which is the central bedroom) has a very high ceiling. So maybe we can create a mezzanine that would open to the room, above the bathroom, and towards the sleeping area.
Our daughter’s bedroom, is not very large, but has a high ceiling as well. A mezzanine can be a solution also for this room. We want the same Dolomiti style also in the bedrooms.
