The design process began with merging the two functions, Entry way & Living space, to make it feel as one. The industrial look of the metal and wood bookshelf is the key factor in setting the atmosphere. Many items in the room including the artwork are multi-functional, allowing the room to transform (storage/ottoman, bookshelf /side table, fold out artwork table). The versatility of the space allows for the comfort of one to a party of six. Using warm colors and various textures sets the ambiance. Paying close attention to the client's wish list I added a sliding barn door to help conserve usable space.
