For your project, I was inspired by how the interior can become not only a shelter and a place for relaxation, but also an extension from the outside garden, transforming that too into a place to free the mind. The aim of this project is to integrate both the inside and the outside through the new, larger glass openings, including the panoramic window on the shower, which is only translucent from the inside, for privacy reasons. The spa space, integrated with the outdoor pool and deck, near the kitchen, which doubles as a bar for when visitors come over, also evoke this link. The bedroom also has new glass door, much bigger than the current one, which will not only enable panoramic views of the scenary around, but also enable, as all the others, much more natural light to penetrate the inside.
The fact that the interior is now graced with more natural light means that we can play with the color nuances on the interior, giving the bedroom, a place the relax, a darker pallete, more suitable for sleep and relaxation. The more casual spaces, like the dining room, are, on the other hand brighter, creating two different areas on the inside, both suitable for relaxing.
The landscaping was also thought with the aim to provide the best place to rest. Therefore, the species chosen not only bring a more tropical, casual vibe to the design, but are also very low-maintenance.
All the Birch, Wallnut and MDF furniture were custom designed and we can discuss and detail them, if need be.
