The concept for this kitchen is to create an open space, and stablish visual contact into the dining room by removing the storage near the acess to the garage, in order to transform the kitchen space.
One of the main ideias was to change the location of the garage door and the arrangement of furniture and equipment. We kept the heights of the various elements of the organizers spaces. We choose to keep all the original household appliances.
Through two elements, a dining counter and a mud room we make the division between the kitchen and dining room, allowing a visual permeability of the space as well as managed a division of different areas.
The use of bright colors in the kitchen environment and small notes of dark colors in some elements allowed an extension of the visual dimension of the space and redefine the environment of the kitchen.
