In our project we used the center of the house as a large common room and oriented the rooms to the sides, so all of them have views on 2 sides of the house. The patio is expanded so it can host the outdoor stairs to the upper rooms and so the rooms can have a second entry point for more comfort and better ventilation. . The interior hallways are integrated in the common room and save space. Since the porch is a key element of the caribbean and mediterranean style we decided to keep it and extend its potential.
