Description

During the design process, the main focus was on creating a functional and secure space for all of the users. The second focus was on reducing the demolition work to a minimum. Thus, combining these two ideas the bathroom walls by the entrance area, making the whole ground floor a unified and circulating space. The kitchen was made open by aligning all the elements to one wall, thus making it possible to put the dining table against the bathroom wall. Having the dining are removed from the main living space left room for the children's play are, which can accommodate toy storage units, small table and chairs etc..The whole living room was expanded by introducing an outer space or veranda. This way the living space is greatly enlarged, mostly in summer days. The great connection between the living room and the veranda is created trough multi sash glass sliding door. Almost none work is done to the garage, except introducing a table on the inner wall which can be used for various activities. The classic door to the house is replaced with a pocket door, thus saving space inside the house. The whole design is unified and circular, optimal for living on all levels while being flexible and adjustable to future needs.
