Description

The project focuses on the reorganisation of this two bedroom apartment on the ground floor keeping in mind the philosophy of uncluttered spaces, comfortable furnishing and inspirations from Scandinavian decor. The original kitchen has been enlarged making use of existing water and gas connections with the dining table large enough to act as an island when necessary. A cozy reading nook is set against the photo corner on one side and a foyer unit with seating is integrated with the existing stove upon entering. In the master bedroom, a motorised loft bed rises up to reveal a living space and a workstation below. The stairs leading up to the bed double up as bookshelves. The child’s room is reorganised creating a play corner with a teepee and a bunk bed to replace the single bed should there be visitors. The bathroom fixtures have been substituted with sleeker ones making circulation easier. Lacquered white, walnut wood, dark grey metal and cement accents complete the look.
