Residential - Villa
Dear Client
Thank you for this great project. I tried to maximize my design. I'll explain my design below.
I demolished the attic floor, making the second floor double-height. The center wall on the first and second floors was also completely removed, but I kept the center wall on the ground floor.
On the ground floor, there's a direct entrance leading to the ground-floor living room with a sofa and a small pantry under the stairs. There's also a guest bathroom and a guest bed accessible from the living room hallway. I also placed a fireplace in this area to allow smoke exhaust to be coordinated with the second-floor fireplace.
On the first floor, I converted it into a technical area, with storage space, a laundry room, and a large bathroom. I felt this was the most appropriate location for the master bathroom, rather than having to place it on the second floor. Furthermore, there's a built-in closet.
The second floor underwent significant changes. By demolishing the attic floor, the second floor has a double height, allowing for maximum sunlight. I also increased the windows to be longer vertically to maximize sunlight. Enlarging the windows vertically was the wisest choice, as it saved us from having to demolish a load-bearing wall, which is quite risky. Furthermore, there's a mezzanine for the master bedroom, and a spacious room with several sofas and a beautiful fireplace.
Thank you for your attention. I hope my design meets your expectations. Thank you.
Best regards
