Description

The design threads the living, dining and kitchen areas in a linear strip together with the 2 outdoor decks at both ends - by way of this alignment, external spaces lend themselves to the perceived width of the entire space. Upon entering, the eyes will be drawn between the two sources of daylight which further accentuates the generosity of the interiors. The public and private zones are separated by a black lacquered shelving unit which contrasts firmly against the neutral tones in the living and dining areas. The soft divider acts as the threshold which one steps through to get to the private quarters. Opportunity was taken here to create an intimate reading nook in the transitional space between 2 bedrooms. Much focus was also given to creating a luxurious and intimate setting for the master bedroom whereby the king sized bed floats in the middle of the room, surrounded by amenities for the master and mistress of the house. The neutral palette continues into this area to create a warm and cosy ambience.
