Residential - Apartment
The main idea is to create an open space where the light and the openness of the spaces is maximized. The layout follows the desired form of the apartment with very small intervetions regarding minor changes from the given new layout. These are two new sliding doors in the new plaster wall between the corridor and the study and bathroom. The wall is new so that it could easily accommodate the 2 new sliding doors.
The entrace is planned with a custom made wardrobe with integrated sitting space.
The kitchen is designed as an open space which merges together with the dining area. The colours are bright and the main part of the kitchen (sink, dishwasher, fridge, mirowave, cabinets) continues into a library. In the library there is an integrated sliding panel that hides the entrance to the bedroom. In that way we would like to keep the privacy of the more intime sleeping area.
The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen as it is also a welcoming social core of the house. The living space occupies the remaining bottom part, where it creates more cosy relaxing corner. The TV stand that is almost as a floating design element allows rotation to 360* so the TV could be used on both sides - living and dining area
Terrace
zone for relax with garden furniture and lots of greenery.
The bedroom is planned as a spacious, bright relaxing zone. The colour palette is light in order to maximise the light coming from the small window. The wardrobe is custom made with a make-up niche and custom made bed.
Bathroom - the wall between the corridor is with integrated sliding door, slightly moved to the left in order to accommodate storage unit and sink. The door is made of glass (patterned smoked glass) in order to provide more light into the corridor.
The colour palette is calm forest green and natural stone.
The guest room is equipped with a sofa easily convertable into a double bed, a small workstation with storage unit bellow the window that is used also as a sitting area.
