The existing layout of kitchen have less counter space and storage. The window area is left unattended. So the proposed layout is u-shape so all the three sides of the kitchen wall can be occupied functionally and minimal changes to the existing services(i.e. pipe and gas line). The Sink has been shifted facing the window utilizing both the unused space and the view. The stove remains in its original position and the fridge has been added to the other end. Now the counter space is more and so are the cabinets both up and down. Peninsula now serves both to kitchen and Breakfast counter, all the utilities are laid in such a manner that it doesn't mix with the workflow. The wall where the tv used to be has now been cleared to form space for new dinning area, have used existing table and chairs with new bench added increasing the sitting area. It has space to store books and glasses for the dinning. The Tv now has been shifted to the wall next to sink, which clears space for the walkway. Now there's opportunity to put bigger sofa or even use the existing one and face the TV in a comfortable position. The existing plant even have a place next to window. By moving furniture we now get a layout that has uninterrupted easy flow and more spacious.
