Hi CoContest
attached there is the map of the apartment where me and my husband will move with our three small children and with so many needs and expectations to be met.
In the plan is shown the state of affairs. It is about 180 square meters from which we would like to get a living room and a large kitchen (maybe open space or divided by a “quinta”), a bedroom with dressing room, three bedrooms, three bathrooms (one in the bedroom, one for guests and one of the 3 bedrooms service), a room in which to store some accessories for fitness and a laundry-utility room. We would not like long corridors, which unfortunately is currently the case, to avoid the unpleasant effect of the corridor of a hotel or a ship.
The bedrooms should provide each a second bed when the kids want to invite a buddy to sleep.
As for the kitchen, we’d like it modern, maybe white or gray, or on the taupe tones, and very wide. For this reason, in our ideas, we also thought about a “fifth” that separates it from the living room in which to insert a double-sided fireplace (piece of furniture that we would like very much), even with a heating element powered by bioethanol to make it more modern.
The house is very bright because it is a third floor, and on the longer side overlooks a small villa. The balcony and the window facing south see the harbor and the lighthouse of my city, as well as a glimpse of his castle Swabian Angevin; therefore a “beautiful view” that we would like to highlight in this area by placing the living area here.
As for the finishes of the house, we would like parquet in the living area and in the sleeping area. Perhaps under the fireplace we could prepare a paving localized metal or something similar. About parquet we are are opened whether to lean towards dark essence as clear as teak or maple. The doors may also be those that already exist: they are in solid wood and or we could continue to keep them dark or matched to the essence of wood or lacquered in another hue.
Also in the house there are some out of square; we would like them to be exploited for the optimization of space, since we have significant needs for “wardrobe.”
The height under ceiling is 3,10m but surely there “will lower” to achieve a higher thermal insulation and to install radiant ceiling panels.
Of course I’m available for any other information as it may be necessary and happy to admire the first ideas.
Greetings
