Description

The idea for this apartment, and according to the requirements of the client, was to separate the sleeping area from the living area, taking the space where the crooked wall is, as a family area, which connects with both terraces.

The bathrooms are kept in the suggested location, creating a smaller one for the whole family and guests, and a larger one that could also be used as an ensuite. The larger one has two doors, one that connects to the corridor to allow general use, and the other that opens to the bedroom, creating the ensuite. Entering the bedroom from the bathroom, there is a space that could be used as a storage place, either enclosing it with some sort of partition or keeping it open and connected to the bedroom.

For the second bedroom I suggest a corner bunk bed, instead of two single beds, as this will create more space.

The kitchen gets an L-shape long countertop, and an isle for breakfast and cooking. It also has a built-in American refrigerator and a column oven.
Next to the kitchen is the laundry, which has a sink, storage space, and an ironing board. Placing the laundry in this area makes possible to connect the washing machine's discharge to the kitchen sink's pipes.

In addition to this storage space, you could also place a nice piece of furniture at the entrance, where you can leave shoes and coats, when you enter the house.

The office can remain as an open space, until you decide to transform it into a bedroom. You could do this just by moving the desk and adding some shelving.

On the plan I placed the dinning table already extended to full size, it will take less space once closed.

In the living room I suggest rectifying the wall with a angle-shaped TV-and-bookshelf furniture. I'm thinking of a large piece of furniture, from floor to ceiling, with a nice lamp as seen on the plan, that gives character to the room. As for the radiators, you should first calculate how many you will need, and the size of each. Then the distribution of the furniture can be easily rearranged.

I choose to respect my client's wishes, giving added value to their needs. I work hard to create functional and comfortable spaces, in order to transform any house into a home.
