There are 2 main areas to be developed in this living room: the DINING AREA and the LOUNGE, so the concept will be based on the relation between the two.

1. ATMOSPHERE- fireplace and television on the dark side of the room while the dining are will receive full natural light during the day from the existing window.

2. The ARTIFICIAL LIGHTNING marks the fixed dining area and the rather flexible living area.

3. MATERIALS and COLOURS, “fire and water”. To balance the warmth of the fireplace, the colours of the
furniture around it are dark blue and turquoise with accents of wood. The rest of the space remains neutral, in tones of beige, grey and white.

4. STORAGE spaces are vast and various. The proposed solution of IKEA modules allows open storage for books, as a library and closed storage for dishes.

5. SPACE UNDER THE STAIR is used in a practical way, for wooden logs and book storage.
