Description

The idea was to separate the apartment into two totally oppose zones, the day one for living, and the night one for rest/work. The day zones opens to the west, with a large living room that combines dining and kitchen, while the night zone is orientated to the east, with two rooms facing it. In the middle there is an entrance hall with large storage, which gives access to the small bathroom. The night zone consists of the main bedroom with integrated bathroom, and one smaller room that can be used for work, relaxation, or as a guest room, with sofa that can be converted in 140x200cm bed.
The kitchen is open space, connected with a dining table, which improves communication and makes cooking a social event.
In the middle of the living zone there is a piece of furniture which divides sitting and dining, from which arises a TV set, hung from the steel pole, that can be rotated, and seen from all angles. This TV set also serves as a separating screen.
The idea is to have all walls painted in white, the floor covering in the entire apartment would be of light wood planks, and the only exception would be both bathrooms, covered with mosaic tiles, both floors and walls.
Because of a much reduced space in a night zone, the idea was to separate only the shower and the toilet/bidet from the rest of the room, while the wash basin would form a part of the room. For this reason, the wash basin should be different from the standard ones (see bedroom visualization).
The beams remain everywhere, in their natural wood color.
The furniture is modern, with a light color scheme. The accent in color would come from accessories, such as cushions, ornaments, paintings, etc.
