The solution provided gives the optimal use of the space. The main entrance remains from the terrace directly into the Living room or kitchen. From there a small corridor leads to the other rooms. On the left side is the master bedroom with its own private bathroom. The existing window is changed for a French window to provide direct access to the yard. On the right side is the second bedroom and the common bathroom for the house. At the end of the hall there is a small area for the washing machine and dryer stacked on top of each other and hidden in a closet.
The private bathroom is in the current place of the existing bathroom as to keep the existing sewage connection. The kitchen remains in its original place. Most of the existing internal walls will be demolished to create the new layout. The new second bathroom is located in the place of the existing small bedroom, close to the kitchen and the external wall, in order to have some natural light and for easier execution of the new water and sewage connections. The project proposes mostly the use of pocket doors, but they can easily be switched for swing doors without affecting the functionality of the proposed layout.
