We need to design all rooms in our new apartment, but please dedicate most of your effort to the living room and kitchen space. We have enclosed several inspirational images that show the design we like: it should be airy and light, based on light colors (primarily white and pastel colors) and not too modern. The floor is going to be hardwood throughout the apartment and will be a warm natural wood color (similar to http://tinyurl.com/parquetcolor), but we gladly accept suggestions if you think we should choose another finishing.
To make things easier, we have uploaded the floorplan both in pdf and dwg format. There are no pictures of the actual apartment because it’s under construction.
Please completely ignore the furniture drawn on the floorplan (that’s just the standard design proposed by the construction firm) and consider that we are not going to build the wall between the living room and the kitchen, because we prefer an open space design.
The kitchen should preferably include an island. We like white bookshelves, we have a big TV and we like confortable sofas.
Since this is sometimes a topic of discussion in other contests, we’d like to clarify that, as far as furniture is concerned, we don’t have any issue with IKEA or Maison Du Monde if you select nice pieces and, in general, prefer items made of good materials (such as solid wood).
As far as the other rooms are concerned: in the master bedroom (LETTO 1) we’d like to have a small office space in the corner. The other bedrooms are for our two-year-old child (LETTO 2) and for an home office that should also be used as a guest bedroom occasionally (LETTO 3).
Additional notes:
– Recessed lighting can be used in bathrooms, in the entrance, in the corridor and over the kitchen cabinets. In you project please indicate how many recessed LED lights, their power specs and a link to a model you like.
