Entrambe le proposte progettuali cercano in primo luogo di risolvere il “problema” del corridoio, si è cercato infatti di renderlo un ambiente maggiormente vivibile e non un semplice spazio di passaggio e di servizio. Questo ha inoltre permesso di rendere l’appartamento più moderno e generare una serie di spazi più fluidi e movimentati.
SUGGESTION 1 _ Il corridoio viene ridotto e attrezzato lungo la parete verso le camere con una scaffalatura leggera che crea giochi di luci e ombre, la parete opposta invece viene lasciata completamente vuota e anche le porte, grazie all'utilizzo della soluzione filomuro, scompaiono nella superficie continua e liscia della parete. La cucina si configura come un prisma vetrato posto in stretta relazione allo spazio antistante della sala da pranzo. Il camino viene integrato nel disegno della parete e si caratterizza per le forme squadrate e per una vetrata angolare che permette di godere della sua vista anche dal soggiorno. Soggiorno che si trova nell’ambiente a destra, separato da una libreria bifacciale.
SUGGESTION 2 _ Il corridoio viene abolito e sostituito da un'ampio spazio continuo caratterizzato da una parete completamente piatta sulla destra che separa la zona giorno dalla zona notte. L'utilizzo delle porte filomuro, anche in questo caso, permette di ottenere questa estrema semplicità: queste sono state pesate a tutt’altezza ed evidenziate da un faretto incassato nel soffitto che le illumina dall’alto. La parete sulla sinistra invece, addentrandosi nell'appartamento, a poco a poco scompare (di essa rimangono solo dei frammenti) e rivela così gli spazi della convivialità: la cucina, la sala da pranzo e il soggiorno. Lo spazio si caratterizza per l'estrema fluidità e compenetrazione degli ambienti. In questa soluzione il corridoio è completamente scomparso e al suo posto è stato introdotto uno spazio fluido e dinamico che funge da ingresso ma che è al contempo fa già parte della zona giorno.
I colori sono stati pensati nelle tonalità chiare del grigio con qualche accenno di marrone, a questi però vengono aggiunti dei contrasti scuri puntuali quali ad esempio i montanti metallici delle librerie. Gli arredi si caratterizzano per le linee moderne e geometriche, è stato però anche previsto l’inserimento di qualche elemento antico che è già presente nell’attuale appartamento.

Both project proposals try primarily to solve the "problem" of the corridor: they try to make it a more livable environment and not a simple passage and service space. This has also afforded to make a more modern flat and to create more fluid and lively spaces.
SUGGESTION 1 _ The hallway is reduced and equipped along the wall to the room with a slight shelving that creates games of lights and shadows, instead the opposite wall is left completely empty and even the door, thanks to the use of flush solution, disappear in the continuous and smooth surface of the wall. The kitchen is set up as a glass prism placed in close relation to the space in front of the dining room. The chimney is built into the design of the wall and is characterized by squared shapes and an angular window that allows you to enjoy its views even from the living room. The living room is in the room to the right, separated by a double sided bookcase.
SUGGESTION 2 _ The hallway is abolished and replaced by a large continuous space characterized by a completely flat wall on the right that separates the living area from the sleeping area. The use of flush doors, also in this case, allows to obtain this extreme simplicity: these were weighed to-ceiling and highlighted by a spotlight fitted into the ceiling that illuminates from above. The wall on the left hand, entering the apartment, gradually disappears (it remains only fragments) and so reveals the conviviality spaces: the kitchen, the dining room and the living room. The space is characterized by the extreme fluidity and interpenetration of environments. In this suggestion, the hallway has completely disappeared and it was introduced a fluid and dynamic space that acts as an entrance but that at the same time is already part of the living area.
The colors have been conceived in light shades of gray with some brown hint, however, they are added punctual dark contrasts such as the metal uprights of the libraries. The furnishings are characterized by modern and geometric lines, however it has provided for the inclusion of some ancient element which is already present in the current apartment.
