I have just bought a large house, around 4200 square feet (over ground floor and first floor) which is in a plot of land 5200 square feet, within a gated community. I wanted ideas on interior design for the same. I would like the interiors to be warm, happy, with a hint of the outdoors. The interiors should reflect the soul of my family (me, my wife, and our two young sons). We (my wife and I) dont like chrome/steel/ultra modern decor. We would prefer a classic, timeless look, which reflects the love and happiness within the family. We have a preference for British Colonial Island style classy interiors, as shown in the reference pictures. The interiors should be airy, warm, with classy wooden pieces, lots of light, floral or small geometric prints on curtains, comfortable furniture.
