The main objective of this project was to to redesign an existing space to fit 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, to reorganize the entrance and an open space living area. Since the existing vertical drain is located in the southwest corner of the building, the existing bathroom was downsized in order to accommodate the second bathroom. In the existing bathroom there is now a toilet, bidet, shower, sink and a small towel closet (or could be open shelves). The new bathroom is relatively small and accessed from the living area /kitchen. It contains walk-in shower with toilet. It doesn't have a separate bidet but the space saving hand held bidet shower which can be used with any toilet. It also contains a sink and a washing machine. The skylight can be added above for additional light and ventilation. Bedrooms pretty much remained the same, with larger master bedroom and two smaller kids rooms. The entryway is reorganized by reducing the size of the current entry door and adding a 60cm deep built-in closet for coats, jackets, even the cleaning supplies. In an unused space beside the entrance could be an office nook or a children's playroom with storage space (library, office supplies, etc.). The kitchen and living room are reorganized to make the best use of the new space.
