Description

The project takes advantage of the high ceiling, proposing a small elevated bunk bed that allows us to free the floor plan at ground level - like this we can afford to create a living space that is separated from the sleeping area, creating a hierarchy of privacy even in this tiny studio. The pastel, light colors help to create a soft ambiance while keeping the room very illuminated and light, avoiding the feeling of 'confinement' that can be very common in very small apartments. An integrated system of cabinets, hidden storage and fitted furniture are used to keep everything in order - the washing machine is hidden inside the cabinet, the bench can be opened to provide extra storage space for objects, linens, or shoes. The movable ladder can be used to access the bed or the upper library, where books or decorative objects can be displayed. The kitchen and bathroom, with dialoguing colors and finishing, are oposite each other - the door of the bathroom was moved in order to keep the circulation space to a minimum.
