Description

Small-space-living is an interesting matter we, as designers, are all trying to give answers to.
This project gave us the opportunity to try to find the best solution possible without compromising the livability of a space.

Due to the very small space, the idea was to have a single custom-made fully fitted piece of furniture that would fit perfectly in the space. Continuous curved lines link all the functions from bedroom area to kitchen and the material (plywood) used to build the furniture, hug and give a calm and warm feeling for those who are going to live the tiny apartment.
The bedroom is placed on a loft level, above the entrance door, creating an entrance hall with wardrobe-storage space and a bench with coat hangers.
The wall on the right continues with the stairs area that lowering gently, became a windowsill bench that serves two functions: relaxing area and seating for the dining area.
Underneath the stairs there are two niches: one is used as bookshelf-storage space, and the other hosts the dining table on castors when not in use.
Curved panelling takes to the fully fitted all electrical kitchen, located opposite to the stairs. The kitchen comprises: 2 points induction hob, sink, dishwasher and fridge-freezer located opposite to the stairs.
The toilet has been refurbished with new toilet, shower and basin, the layout has been left as before though in order to reduce as much as possible, the replumbing cost.

Thank you for your attention.
